Frequently Asked Questions

Is this walk different from the Camino de Ronda?

Yes. While it includes sections of the coastal Camino de Ronda, this itinerary is vastly more diverse. It acts as a "Best Of" compilation, providing strategic transfers that allow you to skip certain sections so you can hike inland to medieval villages, climb up to ancient mountain monasteries, and explore the rugged Cap de Creus peninsula

Can I visit Salvador Dalí's house on this tour?

Absolutely. On Day 6, your route from Cadaqués allows you to easily visit the Salvador Dalí House-Museum in Port Lligat. However, because visitor numbers are strictly limited, you must pre-book your entrance tickets well in advance.

Will I have to pack up and change hotels every single night?

No, and this is a major highlight of this specific itinerary! To provide a more relaxing experience, you will only stay in two locations: you unpack once in Calella de Palafrugell for the first few nights, and then unpack once more in Cadaqués for the remainder of the trip. We transfer you to the best trailheads each day.

What is the hiking terrain like?

This is a moderate-level walking tour. You will encounter a wide variety of terrain, including flat Mediterranean forest paths, sandy coastal tracks, cobbled medieval streets, and rocky, uneven ascents in the Cap de Creus National Park. Day 7 includes a significant mountain climb to the San Salvador de Verdera Castle (671m).

How do I get to the starting point in Calella de Palafrugell?

You can fly into either Barcelona Airport or Girona Airport, or take the train to the Figueres station. From there, you can utilize local public transport, or we can arrange a private arrival transfer directly to your first hotel.

When is the best time of year to hike Cap de Creus?

This tour operates from March 1st through November 30th. The absolute best times to hike are the low and mid-season months (March-May and September-October) to avoid the peak heat and high tourist crowds of July and August.
