Arrive in the elegant hilltop town of Ravello, situated high above the sparkling Bay of Salerno. Settle into your hotel and spend the evening exploring the delightful main square, dominated by its historic 11th-century cathedral. Overnight in Ravello.
Day 2
Explore the magnificent gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. Descend ancient, partially covered stone stairways to the quaint fishing village of Atrani. Continue into the historic town of Amalfi to visit the Paper Museum, then ascend through the lush Valley of the Mills (Valle delle Ferriere), walking past ruins of Europe's oldest paper mills, rushing streams, and lemon groves back to Ravello
Day 3
Leave Ravello via a different panoramic trail. Pass through the historic village of Pontone and hike to the ruins of the Torre dello Ziro, a spectacular lookout point towering directly over the sea. Descend into the heart of Amalfi to explore its grand architecture and vibrant harborside lanes. Overnight in Amalfi.
Day 4
Take a short local bus ride to Bomerano. From here, begin your descent along the rugged cliffs of the peninsula. Walk through peaceful rural hamlets, past ancient stone churches, and down historic terraced steps to arrive in the scenic coastal village of Praiano. Overnight in Praiano.
Day 5
Climb an ancient pilgrim path up to the secluded Convent of San Domenico, perched high on a rocky ridge. Continue winding through spectacular Mediterranean scrub and oak forests, crossing deep gorges to reach the high alpine hamlet of Monte Pertuso. Walk down into the legendary vertical town of Positano. Overnight in Positano.
Day 6
Experience the absolute crown jewel of Amalfi Coast hiking. Take a local bus up to Nocelle to access the high trail. Walk along narrow, dramatic mountain ledges suspended between earth and sky, enjoying sweeping views extending all the way to the island of Capri. Loop back through lush forests to Positano for the evening.
Day 7
For your final trekking day on the mainland, tackle a challenging, deeply rewarding climb up the ancient stone steps of the Scalinatella. Arrive at the spectacular mountain pass of Santa Maria del Castello, looking down onto both the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno. Return to Positano for a celebratory final dinner.
Day 8
The main 8-day tour concludes after breakfast. Travelers opting for the extension will head to the harbor to board a scenic ferry to the legendary Isle of Capri.

Arrive by boat at Capri's Marina Grande. Your luggage is transferred directly to your hotel while you head up to the quieter, mountainous village of Anacapri. Explore the historic village center and soak in the refined island atmosphere. Overnight in Anacapri.
Day 9
Ride the open-air chairlift up to Mount Solaro, the highest point on Capri, for unrivaled panoramic views of the entire Bay of Naples. Hike down along the pristine mountain ridge to the western lighthouse (Punta Carena), pausing for a swim in the crystal-clear sea. Follow the dramatic coastal fortification trail past historic British fortresses to end at the world-famous Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra). Return to the hotel by local bus.
Day 10
Your magnificent 10-day active holiday concludes after breakfast. Return by ferry to Naples or Sorrento for your onward travel connections.
